Ooops....can't believe I haven't blogged the fair yet, so better get this one in before Christmas! I actually hate fairs. The smell of exhaust fumes, the food, the noise and all the spinning rides makes my stomach churn but I LOVE the colours! So I had to take the opportunity for a few snaps back in October.

Elvaston Castle is fast becoming one of my favourite locations for a shoot. Especially early (ish!) on a November morning, when there's misty sunshine like last Saturday. Gorgeous. Brilliant family shoot last week, I'm really pleased with the results.

Another shoot at Wollaton Park – I love this place! Takes me back to my childhood. This one's from September, I've got some catching up to do on this blog!!

Finally got round to blogging a session from aaaaaages ago - back in May, in fact!   This is the second shoot I've done at Elvaston Castle, it's a great location for a family shoot and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

So..... Claire and Dave's wedding. Before I get carried away, I need to say that I wasn't the OFFICIAL photographer here, but Claire is one of my very best friends from school (not THAT long ago...) and I wanted to catch some memories from a different viewpoint for her and Dave. I'm not sure yet whether weddings are going to ever be my thing as a photographer, but hope these photos show what a fantastic day we all had. Thanks to Claire and Dave for inviting us, and I know you're going to have a very long and happy life together xxx

I've mentioned before that I work at Thornton's in my 'day job' which has its obvious benefits (if you're a chocolate lover, like me). Another benefit for me recently was that I was asked to shoot for a charity golf day being held at Oulton Hall in Yorkshire, in aid of the NSPCC which is Thornton's chosen charity. This isn't my usual thing (I even had to borrow a lens!) but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I'm pretty sure everyone else had a fantastic day too.

Big thanks to the Purchasing department at Thornton's for all their hard work in planning the event, and for inviting me along, and to all the suppliers who attended and in doing so contributed to raising even more money for the NSPCC.

My first prom shoot! And I REALLY enjoyed it. We picked the best time of day to do it, which was in the evening of a sunny day, and headed out to Wollaton Park in my home town of Nottingham. I was absolutely blown away by how stunning they both looked, and got some fantastic shots (if I do say so myself!!). And the girls didn't even complain about me dragging them all over the park to find the best locations. :)
